Full Moon Ski:
The moon will be full March 1st and Grand County is offering two chances for you to get out and cross-country ski or snowshoe under the full moon sky. Join the Grand Lake Nordic Center on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 from 5pm-9pm. This event features adult beverages at the bonfire in addition to the usual complimentary hot chocolate and marshmallows! Plus, red chili will be served in the Grand Lake Nordic Center lodge from 5pm-8pm. Trail passes are only $10 and rentals will be $10. For more information :: grandlakerecreation.com. Snow Mountain Ranch Stampede:
Two days, two races, two ranches! On Saturday, March 10th, 2018 participate in a freestyle race and/or on Sunday, March 11th, 2018 participate in a classic race that goes from Snow Mountain Ranch to Granby Ranch. Both races feature a 10K, 25K, and 50K length and start at 9:45am, 9:15am, and 9:00am, respectively. In addition, there will be a FREE 2K Kids Fun Race for kids 15 and under on both Saturday & Sunday, which starts at 8:45am at Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center. Athletes that complete both 25K races will receive a Ranch Hand 50K belt buckle, and athletes that complete both 50K races will receive a Ranch Boss 100K belt buckle.
