Colorado Biathlon Club Members,
It’s time once again to plan for our annual members’ meeting and Board of Directors election. Please save the date for 7pm Thursday April 9, 2026, for the annual virtual meeting.
The club is overseen by a 5 (five) person Board of Directors and we need people willing to serve in that role. Board members are elected to a 1 year term and are responsible for setting strategic direction and appointing the CBC Officers, who are then responsible for the day-to-day running of the club. The new Board will determine their meeting schedule, but anticipate occasional meetings (currently every 2 months), monthly finance approvals (a few minutes of work), and 1 – 2 strategic planning sessions (a few hours in length) across the year. Board members may also serve as Officers.
Just as we could not run our races without our marvelous volunteers, we also cannot run the club without volunteer board members. You do not need superpowers to serve on the board-we need people who are excited about the sport, our club, and want to help ensure we can continue to improve and build a safe and fun environment.
