History: The Grand Nordic Club was founded in 1993 and embraces a mission to serve the Nordic community of Grand County by providing educational, recreational, social, and adventurous opportunities. The Grand Nordic Club is the people’s advocate for cross-country skiing in Grand County. This non-profit club has over 200 members and is always inviting newcomers to join. To start the cross-country ski season, the Grand Nordic Club hosts a Ski Swap and Dessert potluck the last Friday in October each year. Click here to learn more about the Grand Nordic Club.
Membership Benefits: You receive many benefits when you choose to become a member of the Grand Nordic Club. Members receive discounts on trail passes at Nordic Centers like Snow Mountain Ranch, Devil’s Thumb Ranch and Grand Lake Nordic Center. Members also receive deals on merchandise at Snow Mountain Ranch, Icebox Mountain Sports in Fraser, Christy Sports in Winter Park, Boulder Nordic Sports, Le Feet Lab in Winter Park, and Winter Park Trading Company. In addition, members receive registration discounts to Grand Nordic events, like the annual Ranch 2 Ranch Trek. Every year, Grand Nordic Club provides 3 Free cross country ski lessons for members, typically one at each of the local Nordic Centers. This makes a great opportunity to try out Skate skiing if you’ve only tried Classic skiing and vice versa. The individual and family membership are both great options for basic membership. The business membership includes the opportunity to place a business logo on the Grand Nordic website and Nordic Club privileges for 2 employees. * Please note that yearly events and benefits may change due to the COVID-19 pandemic but Grand Nordic will continue to provide members with quality benefits and programs as possible.
