Grand County’s wonderful Nordic Centers are preparing for the upcoming winter season and have announced their opening dates, weather permitting. Tune up your skis and get ready for the 2025-26 season!
Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center: November 24th
Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center will open for the season on November 24, 2025. The Nordic shop will be open, and weather permitting, some of the trails will open as well.

Devil’s Thumb Ranch Nordic Center: November 26th
Weather permitting, a selection of our award-winning cross-country and multi-use trails will open on November 26, 2025! Trails will be available for classic or skate skiing, snowshoeing, and fat tire biking.
Visit Zach’s Mercantile for day passes, season passes, and gear rentals! Open daily from 8:30am – 6pm.
