Hello from Grand County!
There are 2 race events this weekend and a moonlight ski on Friday night at Snow Mountain Ranch.
Snow Mountain Ranch is offering a $15 dollar discount on lodging for race participants if you’d like to come and stay in Grand County this weekend. The discount code is, “GN15”. Thank-you to Snow Mountain Ranch!
Schedule and Info:
Saturday:
Grand County Nordic Race Series Event #4, The Grand Nordic Skate Race at Snow Mountain Ranch.
30k, 15k and 3k junior races. (the 3k is actually closer to 5k but very doable).
Start times
- 10:00 30k.
- 10:05 3k
- 10:30 15k.
Awards:
Will be at 1:30. Medals for the top 3 male and female in each distance.
Raffle: Directly following awards.
Event specifics:
Feeds: self supported- meaning bring your own bottle. No cups are provided.
- There will be 2 feed stations. Approximately mid lap and at the start finish area.
- There will be water and energy mix to refill your bottles as needed.
- Fruit including bananas, oranges.
- There will be a trash sack at each feed station, please use them!
Sunday:
Grand County Nordic Race Series Event #2 make up, Snow Mountain Ranch Classic
15k, 7.5k and 3k junior races.Start times:
- 10:00 15k
- 10:10 7.5k
- 10:15 3k.
Awards:
Will be at 12:00, Again- medals for the top 3 male and female in each distance.
Raffle: Directly following awards.
Event Specifics:
Feeds: Self supported, “bring your own bottle” (or buy one at the Nordic Center!)
- 1 feed station located at the start finish/lap area.
- There will be jug of water and energy mix to refill your bottle.
- Fruit including bananas and oranges.
- There will be a trash bag, please use it!
The weather looks like it’s going to be nice! We have plenty of snow and the groomers have been working overtime preparing the trails.
